These recordings were done by Alan Lomax during his time at the Library of Congress. Aunt Molly Jackson was an influential American folk singer and union activist. This records can introduce the listen to the music and some of the culture of one singer in Appalachia. This record also includes an informational booklet about Aunt Molly Jackson and efforts of the Appalachia Movement Press.
