Description
The International Times was a London-based underground newspaper that ran in its original form from 1966-1973. Other newspapers by the same name popped up in succeeding years. Both Paul McCartney and Allen Ginsberg were financial contributers to the newspaper, which at its peak, was distributing 40,000 copies. It ceased publication after being convicted of running contact ads for gay men. London police raided the newspapers offices multiple times during its run in an effort to force it out of business.
