Description
Created by Olaf Stoop and Martin Beumer in November 1968, Real Free Press Illustratie grew out of the Provo movement, a Dutch counterculture movember of the mid-1960s that focused on provoking violent responses from authorities using non-violent bait. It regularly featured artwork by such underground artists as Robert Crumb and Will Eisner.Typically published in Dutch, the no. 6 issue from April 1974 was published in English and bears the tagling of "English Language Edition" on the cover.
