Description
The Winter Soldier Organization was a part of anti-war Vietnam Veterans Against the War, founded in 1967. VVAW/WSO took part in many anti-war, anti-racist, and anti-imperialist movements through the 1970s and 1980s, and are perhaps best known for the Winter Soldier Investigation, during which 150 veterans of the conflict in Vietnam testified in front of Congress.

Their publication, Winter Soldier, contained articles, opinion pieces, and news items out of both the U.S. and South Asia. This particular issue contains articles on Wounded Knee, union actions, Prison movements, news from Korea, Indochina and Japan. Before 1973, the newspaper was called 1st Casualty.
