Description
In 1970, much of the staff, and then editor Brian Kirby, of the LA Free Press left the paper due to financial and editorial differences. The team began a competing newspaper, The Staff.

The Staff published anti-war articles, and also publishing substantially on the music scene and popular culture. It ran for 90 weekly issues before it folded.
